India’s superstars treated themselves to a Diwali dinner at a famous local restaurant in Adelaide. The city hosts a sold out IND vs AUS 2nd ODI on Thursday and India helped themselves to a team dinner. The restaurant has been hugely popular with the Indian team on their Australia tours, with memorabilia displayed of famous cricketers and moments.

India did not let the defeat in the first ODI dampen their spirits for Diwali. The Men in Blue arrived at their usual spot in Adelaide for a team meal late in the day. The restaurant named British Raj saw the likes of Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and others join in for a hearty meal to mark the occasion of Diwali. It was a relaxed affair with the Indian team in casual attire as fans throng to support.
Several India stars posed for pictures and autographs as reported by 7News. As per reports, the Indian team visit the Torrentsville spot every tour and have a real affinity towards the joint. The hotel owner has pictures of his family on the wall alongside famous cricketers. A signed Jasprit Bumrah Test jersey is also framed for the customers to see.
The Adelaide restaurant had decor set up to match the Diwali vibe, with diyas and flowers at the entrance. The owner revealed that the Indian team enjoyed a home cooked style food which has what the ‘British Raj’ a favourite.
India will hope that the celebrations could spark a little life into the IND vs AUS series. The visitors conceded the game in Perth to go 1-0 down in the 3-match series. It makes the IND vs AUS 2nd ODI in Adelaide a series decider.
