Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will commence their IPL 2026 campaign by taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their first game on March 28 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Rajat Patidar and co. finally managed to end their 18-year wait to lift their maiden title after defeating PBKS in the IPL 2025 final by 6 runs. However, cricket is all set to return to the iconic venue for the first time since June 2025 after the Bengaluru stampede in which 11 people died and several were injured, as a result of which the venue was stripped of all action thus far.

As per AccuWeather, there is just a 6% chance of rain during the RCB vs SRH, IPL 2026 opener in Bengaluru on Saturday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are forecast to be 32 and 20 degrees Celsius, respectively. This means that there is the least possible chance of rain playing spoilsport in the RCB vs SRH game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. Bengaluru’s weather is generally unpredictable, but there is very low chances of rain disrupting the IPL 2026 opener. Fans will be treated to a full-fledged and action-packed T20 contest.
