While everyone’s got their eyeballs glued to the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 mega auction, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed the window and venues for the upcoming edition of the WPL.
WPL 2026 venues confirmed
With India co-hosting the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in February and March, the BCCI has been forced to move the WPL 2026 season from its usual window. Last year, the tournament was played from February 14 to March 15. This time around, it’ll run from January 9 to February 5.
The BCCI has confirmed DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and the BCA Stadium in Vadodara as the two venues. Last season, Mumbai, Vadodara, Bengaluru, and Lucknow were the venues.
Navi Mumbai will host the WPL 2026 opener on January 9, while the final will be played in Vadodara on February 5.
No update on WPL 2026 schedule
The BCCI hasn’t yet confirmed the schedule for the WPL 2026 season. We didn’t have any double headers last season, and that trend is expected to be continued. That means all the games will be played at prime time, at night.
