Earlier it was the players ditching PSL for IPL, and now this trend has extended to broadcasters. Former England opener Nick Knight was added to the broadcaster’s list for PSL 2026, but now has been named in the roster for IPL 2026. Knight was scheduled to be part of the team that comprised of Carlos Brathwaite, Lisa Sthalekar, JP Duminy, Dominic Cork, Mark Butcher, Martin Guptill, Greg Blewett and Athar Ali Khan, as well as former Pakistan cricketers Wasim Akram, Ramiz Raja, Aamer Sohail, Urooj Mumtaz and Bazid Khan
Now, he will be teaming up with the likes of Ian Bishop, Ravi Shastri, Harsha Bhogle, Daren Ganga, Danny Morrison and others. What is even more surprising is, Knight was named in the IPL broadcast team, a day after the PSL 2026 got underway. IPL 2026, meanwhile is due to begin on March 28.
As far as the plyers, who left PSL for IPL are concerned; they are Blessing Muzarabani, Dasun Shanaka and Spencer Johnson. Muzarabani was picked for Islamabad United, and now has been bought by KKR. Shananka was with Lahore and now will play for RR. Lastly, Spencer Johnson was signed up with Islamabad, and now will play for CSK.
This is primarily happening since IPL and PSL are clashing. In that too, a few of the IPL players have gotten injured, which caused the migration.
