Former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff was appointed the head coach for the England Lions on Saturday. A mighty successful playing for his team during his career, Flintoff had become a known TV personality after retirement. “I’m incredibly excited to take on this role with the England Lions. It’s a fantastic opportunity to work with some of the best up-and-coming talent in the country and to help shape the future of the men’s game,” Flintoff said.
Andrew Flintoff to Start in October
Andrew Flintoff will be in charge of England Lions for the winter tours of South Africa and Australia, and later India A and Zimbabwe as well. In fact, he was the assistant coach for this year’s T20 World Cup as well. And right now is the acting batting coach of the England cricket team, that is playing a Test series vs Sri Lanka.

“I’m confident his influence will resonate across English cricket, helping drive the game forward.” Now he is expected to take charge of the England Lions in October, and could be instrumental in taking them to greater heights.
