Akash Deep had the last laugh after a tantalising battle with Ben Duckett in the IND vs ENG 5th Test. Duckett and Deep embroiled in some verbal scuffle early on Day 2 at The Oval. The England opener went berserk after, before the Indian pacer redeemed himself with a prized scalp.

There was no shortage of drama on Day 2 of the IND vs ENG 5th Test. With India all out for 224, England came out all guns blazing. Ben Duckett survived an early chance with an edge falling short. Akash Deep the bowler proceeded to sledge, adding spice to the contest.
The left-hander was fired up and proceeded to unleash his attacking strokes. He punished Akash Deep and Prasidh Krishna for their wayward lines. The 30-year-old raced to 43 only perishing after edging a reverse scoop to Dhruv Jurel.
India, who conceded in excess of 7 and over were naturally pumped. Deep celebrated with passion, before putting a hand over Duckett’s shoulder as he walked back to the pavilion. It was only after KL Rahul intervened that the India pacer walked away.
