“Iron” thoughts on Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler Not Booked

The Ultimate Fighter 31, starring Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler, is set to return with its 31st season. The two coaches will lead their teams of aspiring MMA fighters to two possible six-figure UFC contracts. However, due to the chatter of McGregor vs Chandler not happening Brett pressed Chandler about his thoughts on the chatter and whether he has reservations about the fight.

He replied, “Yeah of course that’s the thoughts you have with every single fight . Camp leading up to stepping into the actual octagon to cage door closing. But of course when it comes to Conor what he is doing. He is the only guy in this sport who really doesn’t have to keep fighting. You know when it comes to like hey this guys doesn’t need fights. He’s got enough money, he got enough fame or whatever. So of couse there is extra cavent but I think I’ve said this in the past that Conor to his core really is romantic about the sport.”

He added, “He really loves it and I think he has an ego the size of Texas so he needs to stick back there and continue to feel that rush. Feel the crowd acting like he is god for those 15 mins or 25 mins. So I think he is coming back. It sure would be a huge stain on his legacy leading everyone down the road. Making people think he is coming back and kind of chickening out and only doing it for publicity.”

In conclusion, despite ongoing chatter about the possibility of the fight not happening, Michael Chandler believes that Conor McGregor will ultimately come back to the octagon driven by his passion for the sport and desire to cement his status as a legend. Fans can tune in to The Ultimate Fighter 31 to see Chandler and McGregor lead their teams of aspiring MMA fighters in what promises to be an exciting season for fans of the sport.
