Anthony Joshua Top 5 knockouts

5. Anthony Joshua vs Charles Martin

Kicking off our list is Joshua’s first world title win against Charles Martin back in 2016. The American had a lot to say before the fight. However, ‘AJ’ showed he was ready for the big stage. After a measured first round, Joshua landed a perfect counter straight right to the chin. This sent Martin crashing to the ground. And although he got up again, Joshua used the same punch to knock him out.

4. Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev

At number four on our list of Anthony Joshua’s top 5 knockouts is his last knockout win over Kubrat Pulev. Many expected Pulev to beat Joshua after two subdued performances against Andy Ruiz Jr. before that. And after nine rounds of exciting heavyweight boxing, Joshua unleashed on Pulev. Eventually, the Englishman landed a quick jab, followed by a vicious straight right, and knocked Pulev out cold.

3. Anthony Joshua vs Alexander Povetkin

Starting our top three of Anthony Joshua’s best knockouts is his win over Alexander Povetkin. At the time, Povetkin posed a tough challenge to Joshua. However, come fight night, ‘AJ’ showed his class. Although Povetkin landed some good shots, Joshua waited for his moment. And in the seventh round, Joshua landed an incredible left hook, right hook combination which sent Povetkin down. The Russian got up, but Joshua was too strong and finished the fight with a flurry of punches.

2. Anthony Joshua vs Dillian Whyte

Runner-up on the list of Anthony Joshua’s top five knockouts is his victory over Dillian Whyte. The two had a lot of bad blood going into the fight. And the contest lived up to expectations with both fighters going at it for seven rounds. While Whyte landed a lot of good shots, Joshua had the better of his opponent throughout the fight. By the seventh round, Whyte’s legs turned to jelly and Joshua chased him down with vicious intent. He then waited for the moment and landed the most devastating upper cut, almost knocking Dillian Whyte out of the ring.

1. Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko

Number one on the list has to be Joshua’s knockout win over Klitschko in front of 90,000 fans in Wembley. After 11 close rounds, where both Joshua and Klitschko went down, Joshua showed his heart. The Englishman chased down Klitschko, landed combination after combination, and one incredible upper cut that almost took the Ukrainian’s head off. After dropping once in the 11th, Joshua smelled blood and finished the fight with another devastating combination.
