The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series, aka BGIS 2026 Quarter Finals, has come to a close after four days of intense action. A total of 64 teams took part in the Groups A, B, C, and D stages, where each team played a total of six matches. After a closely contested series of matches, the top 16 teams have qualified directly for the Semi Finals, while teams ranked from 17th to 40th place will now face off in the Wildcard stage. Since there are 24 semifinal slots, teams ranked 17th to 40th will compete in the Wildcard stage for the remaining eight semifinal slots.
BGIS 2026 Semi Finals Format
The total number of teams that will compete during the Semi Finals will be 24, consisting of 16 teams that qualified directly from the Quarter Finals, as well as 8 teams that will come from the Wild Card Round.
The 24 teams that will compete during the tournament will be divided into three groups, with the tournament being played as a double round-robin competition, providing consistency for all teams across the groups. Each group will contain four games played every day.
At the end of the tournament, the top 8 teams based on the overall standing will qualify for the Grand Finals
