“I feel very good about my personal best throw (89.94m). In the first round, it was close to 90. I thought I could throw more than 90 today, but that is okay. There are more competitions lined up this year,” said Neeraj.

When he talks about more competitions, the World Championship and Commonwealth Games are the immediate ones. He is said to be one of the favourites for a medal in the Worlds, starting July 15. There has been a genuine improvement in his throws this year, which keeps him in a good stead.

“It is good for me. Whenever I am in training, I always give my best. There is slow improvement in my throws, which is really good for me,” said Neeraj.

“This was my third competition. I have thrown really well in all three of them and I am feeling good ahead of the World Championship. In Eugene, I will give my best and we will see. Every competition is different and I will just give my best.”
