Everything you need to know about the Fortnite Power Hour on February 28. Discover event start times and how to unlock various rewards.

If you play Fortnite, you know that the game enjoys ending its monthly events with a bang. To cap off its Love and Legends Valentine’s event this February, Epic Games has come up with something new called Fortnite Power Hour. It is a sixty-minute window of pure chaos designed to help players finish their challenges and try out some over-the-top weapons.

What is the Fortnite Power Hour?

In this one-hour period, the rules of normal Battle Royale are modified considerably. The aim is to speed up and make it more rewarding. Here are its features:

The Arc-Lightning Gun

Instead of having to search for good weapons from loot chests, players start with a Legendary Arc-Lightning Gun. It does not use bullets like normal guns.

It has an energy bar that will be refilled after a few seconds. When fired, it will shoot electricity from the main target to other enemies around it, making it suitable for wiping out multiple enemies with a single shot.

A Second Chance

Everyone starts with a Self-Revive Device. This means when you get “knocked,” you can get back up without needing a teammate’s help.

New Storm Shapes

Typically, the storm is a circle that gets smaller. In Power Hour, the shape of the storm is a rectangle.

Fortnite Power Hours Timings Details

The Power Hour is a special 60-minute event in which the regular rules of the game are replaced with a high-octane variant. The main event is scheduled for today, Saturday, February 28, at 3:30 PM ET. If you are unable to attend the event, a special event called the “Safety Net” is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, at 10:00 AM ET.

Rewards Details

The biggest reason to play during this hour is the loot. Four random points on the map will be Legendary POIs (Points of Interest). These will be filled with Rare Chests, increasing the probability of acquiring the best equipment in the game

By playing, you will receive Candy Hearts by getting eliminations. You can trade these in for the Heartie Back Bling, an item that will go away when the event is over.

This is also a great opportunity to receive experience points (XP) to complete the Battle Pass before the new season starts in March.
