Grace Hayden, who was one of the hosts at the Delhi Premier League (DPL), opened up about her admiration for Indian cricketers in an exclusive interview with InsideSport. A huge fan of Rishabh Pant, Grace spoke passionately about his incredible comeback from a near-fatal car accident in December 2022. Pant had dislocated his knee, ankle and wrist, besides suffering back injuries, but stunned the cricketing world by returning to action in just 15 months.
“I have a soft spot for Rishabh Pant. The way he came back, fighting, and to play at the level he is playing right now—ridiculous. Hats off. That’s one strong human being That’s a gangsta ,” Grace said while also lauding the time he batted with a fractured toe against England.
Grace admitted she could have worked alongside Pant at the DPL had his toe injury not ruled him out of the tournament. Yet, when asked to pick her all-time favourite, Grace chose Virat Kohli over Pant. And when pressed further, she went one step higher, naming MS Dhoni as her ultimate favourite cricketer.
