Tamil Thalaivas and Dabang Delhi will begin their campaign in the 10th edition of Pro Kabaddi League by facing each other. Both the teams managed to reach the playoffs in the last edition. They will begin action on Day 2 of the PKL 2023 on Sunday, 3rd December.

One of the league’s best young raiders Naveen Kumar will be leading the Dabang Delhi. Meanwhile defender Sagar Rathee has been named as Tamil Thalaivas’ skipper for the season. InsideSport takes a look at the Predicted starting seven of both the teams.

Tamil Thalaivas Predicted Starting 7


Ajinkya Pawar – Ajinkya Pawar is Tamil Thalaivas’ vice captain. The experienced campaigner provided a solid support to Narender in the last edition, scoring 96 raid points and also contributed in defence with 56 tackle points. He will be a sure-starter for the team.

Narender – Last year, Narender had to fill the big shoes of Pawan Sehrawat. The youngster stepped up to the challenge in his debut season and impressed with 195 raid points. He will look to continue his form in the upcoming season.

Himanshu Singh – Himanshu Singh is expected to feature as the third raider in the side. He played 18 matches last season and scored 45 raid points. At the auction this year, he was bought back by the team.

Sagar Rathee – He has been named as the captain of the Tamil Thalaivas this season. The defender has consistently scored more than 50 tackle points in the last two editions. His performances have been duly rewarded with the captaincy.

Sahil Gulia – Sahil Gulia was the team’s leading defender in the last edition. The left corner defender impressed with 57 tackle points in 23 matches.

Mohit – The team’s left cover defender will be Mohit. He also had a good season last year by picking up 34 tackle points.

M Abhishek – Abhishek will be the team’s right cover defender. He played all the matches last year and did a good job with 40 tackle points from 23 matches.

Dabang Delhi Predicted starting 7


Naveen Kumar – The skipper will be the first-choice raider for Dabang Delhi. He is one of the best raiders among the active players in the league. His form will yet again play a vital role in the team’s chances of winning the title this year.

Ashu Malik – Ashu Malik will be playing second fiddle to Naveen Kumar in the raids. He was bought back by the franchise this year for 96 lakhs.

Meetu – Meetu is Dabang Delhi’s new addition. In him, Delhi now have a solid support for Naveen in the raids. He will be the third raiding option for the team.

Vishal Bhardwaj – One of the best left defenders in the country, will be playing for Dabang Delhi for the first time in his career. He will be the leader of the defensive unit.

Sunil – Sunil played for Patna Pirates until last year. The right corner defender has consistently scored more than 40 tackle points in the last two seasons. He will look to continue his form for his new team Delhi.

Balasaheb Jadhav – The Right cover defender managed to play just 13 matches combined in the last two seasons. He is expected to feature for Delhi right from the first match itself this season.

Vijay – Defender Vijay made his PKL debut last year. Playing for Delhi, he scored 19 tackle points from 18 matches. He will aim for a much better show and is expected to start in the playing 7.
