Gujarat Giants won two successive matches in the Pro Kabaddi League so far. The team led by Fazel Atrachali aim to continue the winning momentum in PKL 2023. They face U Mumba in PKL 2023 on 5th December, Tuesday.
U Mumba too won their previous game against UP Yoddhas. They aim to extend their unbeaten run. InsideSport takes a look at the predicted starting seven of both the teams.
Gujarat Giants Starting Seven
Raiders
Sonu Jaglan – Sonu has been the star for the team in both the matches so far. In both the matches he did not find a place in the starting seven. However he was introduced at crunch moments and with his performances he has changed the course of the game completely in Gujarat’s favour. Sonu is expected to start in the upcoming clash.
Rakesh Sangroya – Rakesh so far has eight raid points from two matches. He will be a sure-starter for the team. In the last match, he also showed his tackling prowess by pulling off a super tackle at a crucial juncture that gave a decisive lead for Gujarat Giants against Bengaluru Bulls.
Rohit Gulia – Rohit Gulia has been the team’s third raider. The all-rounder bagged seven raid points so far from the two matches.

Defenders
Fazel Atrachali – Skipper Fazel Atrachali’s experience has been invaluable for the team so far. While he just has four tackle points from 2 matches, it has come at crunch moments, helping the team bounce back.
Mohammad Nabhibhaksh – Nabhibhaksh is the second-best defender for the team. He has scored six tackle points from two matches, which also includes two super tackles.
Sombir – Sombir has been the best defender for the team after 2 matches. He has five tackle points to his name and will aim to continue the good show for the side.
Arkam Shaikh – Arkam Shaikh started for the side in both their previous matches. The all-rounder has three tackle points in defence so far.

U Mumba Starting Seven
Amirmohammad Zafardanesh – Iranian youngster Zafardanesh had an outstanding PKL debut as he scored 11 raid points in the team’s last game. He will lead the raiding department yet again in the upcoming clash.
Guman Singh – Guman Singh played second fiddle to Zafardanesh in the last game. He managed to score five raid points and will once again be playing the supporting role for the Iranian.
Vishvanath V – Vishvanath will be the team’s third raider. The youngster started for the team in the last game and scored two raid points.

Defenders
Rinku – Rinku was the best defender for the team in the last match with six tackle points to his name. He will be leading the team’s defence yet again in the upcoming clash.
Surinder Singh – Skipper Surinder Singh had a good game against UP Yoddhas. He managed to score 3 tackle points and will be the main man in the defence.
Mahender Singh – Experienced Mahender Singh will yet again start for the team this season. He scored two tackle points in the last game and will look to improve his show.
Girish Ernak – Left corner defender Girish Ernak managed just a solitary tackle point in the last game. He will also look to improve his form in the upcoming match.
