Incidentally, it was Keegan Petersen who pulled off a stunning diving catch to send Pujara back to the hut in the second innings in Cape Town. The Indian No.3 had tried playing a short ball down the leg side, only for Petersen to pluck it out of thin air with a full-length dive to see the back of the Indian back.
Cheteshwar Pujara has struggled with the bat this series, though played some notable cameos, including a 43 in the first innings at Cape Town, while chipped in with a 50 at Johannesburg. The clock is ticking for the Indian ace to prove his mettle, with his last century being well over three years ago back in 2019.
