Apex Legends is officially joining the Esports Nations Cup (ENC) in 2026. This makes it a major milestone for the popular battle royale title. For the first time, the game will be featured in a nation-based esports format that will bring together 40 national teams that will compete for a massive $1.2 million prize pool during the course of the month.

Apex Legends at Esports Nation Cup 2026

The tournament will take place in Riyadh in the 4th week of the Esports Nation Cup 2026, which will run from November 26 to November 29, 2026. Unlike traditional Apex Legends tournaments that focus on esports organizations, in the Esports Nations Cup 2026, we will see players representing their own countries. As a result, we can expect some regional rivalries in the form of online gaming.

Tournament Format

The tournament structure is quite simple: The Apex Legends Esports Nations Cup will kick off with a group stage, which will consist of 4 groups of 10 teams each. Each group will play six matches, and the best-performing teams will qualify for the Match Point Finals. The grand finals will feature 20 teams that will clash in the heat of the match point system. The grand finals structure has been planned in a way that consistency and good decision-making will be crucial to win.

Qualification Process

The teams will qualify on the basis of Apex Legends Global Championship Points, with a cut-off date of July 13, 2026. Besides this, some additional slots will be determined by online ENC qualifiers, which will take place on August 1-2, 2026. Even the invited nations will have to participate in the online qualifiers.

With giant regions such as the United States, Brazil, South Korea, Canada, and some European countries in the running, the competition is expected to be fierce. The Esports Nations Cup 2026 may prove to be a turning point in the history of Apex Legends esports, paving the way for some fresh rivalries that will bring a dash of patriotism with this new format.
