Formula 1 side McLaren have gone on to win the Constructor’s championship after a long gap of 26 years. McLaren previously last won the title back in 1998. A year later they were pipped by Ferrari. And come 2024, the rivalry reignited as McLaren went on to beat the tifosi on Abu Dhabi Formula 1 season ender.
McLaren were well poised to lift the title after Lando Norris took pole on qualifying. Partner Oscar Piastri finished second in qualifying to lock out the front row. But the end of the race was much more eventful. Norris went on to finish the race at P1 while Oscar Piastri was left hanging on the 10th position.

Lando Norris suffered a turn 1 incident with Max Verstappen on Lap 1 and spun180 degrees to drop to the last position of the grid. The World Champion was thus slapped with a 10 second penalty. Moments later, Piastri hit Fanco Colapinto on the back, which ended the Argentine’s race and the Aussie received a 10 second penalty.
Ferrai did made good strides but it wasn’t enough for them. Carlos Sainz on his last race for Ferrari finished second as he moves to Williams. Charles Leclerc started 19th on the grid and finished 3rd, but was still unable to match McLaren who reigned supreme and won the title. Red Bull came in third and Mercedes finished fourth.
