This also essentially proves that the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup scheduled to take place in October will commence as per the normal schedule. The Supreme Court in its ruling stated that the Committee of Administrators (CoA) will cease to look after the day-to-day affairs of the AIFF.

Speaking to InsideSport.IN, Ranjit Bajaj said, “The New AIFF constitution is coming which we will discuss in October. Once the FIFA Women’s World Cup is over. Everything that FIFA wanted has been done so that the World Cup takes place. Within a day or two max, the ban will be lifted. It is a victory that neither Praful Patel nor Subrata Dutta is allowed to come back and take up a post.”

“After the conclusion of the World Cup, the Audit will take place, so those found guilty will face Criminal action as reported by the Government of India. For the first time, 6 players have been taken to the Executive committee,” he added.

As per the demands of FIFA, the CoA (seen as a third party) has been removed. And secondly, the AIFF Administration will fully take care of its day-to-day activities. With these conditions satisfied, FIFA will revoke its ban on the AIFF.

InsideSport.IN can further confirm that the tenders and contracts for venue management, hospitality and other affairs of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup have already been sent to the LOCs, which further proves that the preparation of the World Cup has begun and will most importantly take place in India.
