The 33rd SEA Games in Thailand features four esports titles as medal events: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), Free Fire, Arena of Valor (AOV), and EA Sports FC Online. These competitions, held at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok from December 13-19, 2025, include men’s and women’s categories where applicable, with a total of six gold medals up for grabs.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

MLBB leads with separate men’s and women’s tournaments, marking its fourth SEA Games appearance. The men’s event features 10 teams in group stages (BO2) from December 14-16, advancing to semifinals (BO5) and a BO7 grand final on December 17. Women’s competition involves 9 teams in a similar format from December 15-18, emphasizing national squads from Southeast Asian nations like Indonesia and the Philippines.

Free Fire

Free Fire debuts with 12 national teams competing in a point rush format starting December 17, where squads earn daily headstart points before a grand final on December 18. Garena-backed regions like Indonesia (two squads including players Wira Gunawan and Adam Ramdani) and Thailand (JOENA, MOSHI) highlight the battle royale’s regional dominance.
