For a player who averages 50 in Tests, can he possibly have a weakness? In the 27 matches that Yashasvi Jaiswal has played in his career, he has gone on to score 2440 runs with seven hundreds and 12 fifties; but then the way he played against Marco Jansen in the first Test in Kolkata — trying to forcefully play a cut shot, that only raises suspicion.

So that this weakness is not exposed again, batting coach Sitanshu Kotak seems to be training hard with the opener. As per a report in the Indian Express, for two days on the trot in Guwahati, throwdown specialist Nuwan Seneviratne was used to replicate, what Jansen could do against Jaiswal in the second Test in Guwahati, which would have more pace and bounce.
Can tackle all spinners
