After tonight’s India vs Oman clash, the group stage of the Asia Cup 2025 would be done and dusted, and the tournament would move into its decisive Super Four phase starting September 20. With India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh making the cut, fans will once again witness the high-voltage clash of India vs Pakistan, this time in Dubai on September 21.
Asia Cup: How the Super Four format works
The format is straightforward. After two teams from both Group A and Group B qualifies, each of the four teams plays the other three once in a round-robin league. That makes for a total of six matches in this stage. Once all games are completed, the top two sides on the points table advance to the final, scheduled for September 28 in Dubai.
Because of this format, India and Pakistan, both having qualified from Group A, will meet again in the Super Four, despite already facing each other in the group stage. If both make it to the final, they could even meet for a third time in this tournament.
