The highly-anticipated match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, India versus Pakistan is all set to get underway on Sunday, February 15 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo after a lot of drama. The match is set to bring up the most-talked about rivalry, fans and cricket enthusiasts are also eager for the game, but the weather has different plans on offer.

With everything on stake in the game, the weather forecast suggests chances of rain, which might hamper the match as well as the result. Speaking of the weather forecast for February 15, the temperature during the day is set to remain around 31° C with couple of showers predicted, as per Accuweather listing. However, it is expected to remain cloudy in the later hours with the temperature going down to 26° C, the probability of precipitation reducing to 13%.

What will happen if IND vs PAK Group A fixture gets washed out?

Speaking of T20 cricket, a five over per side game is necessary to get a result. On Sunday, if rain plays a spoilsport in India vs Pakistan clash, a minimum of 5 overs will be required to get a result. If this requirement isn’t fulfilled, the match gets abandoned and as a result, both teams will share a point between themselves as group stage games do not have Reserve Day.

If so happens, India has an edge over Pakistan will qualify for Super Eights whereas Pakistan will have to get another win to proceed ahead.
