Bangladesh opener Litton Das faced mocking from fans during a Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match. A viral video shows fans taunting Litton, making him visibly upset as he stands at the boundary. This happened during the Dhaka Capitals vs Fortune Barishal game when Litton was fielding near the boundary. Fans began mocking him, calling him “Vua” which translates to Fake. He appeared frustrated with their chants. This isn’t the first time fans have criticised Litton.
Litton’s exclusion from Champions Trophy Squad
Litton Das was unexpectedly left out of the Champions Trophy squad. He had a poor performance in 2024, across formats, leading selectors to make the tough decision to exclude him. Interestingly, Litton acknowledged his poor form in 2024 and agreed with the decision. However, he responded with an impressive century in the BPL, quieting some critics. Along with Litton, Shakib Al Hasan was also left out for failing his bowling action test.
