Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been released from Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital (SDMH). The 21-year-old had sustained a head injury during the Mumbai vs Uttarakhand match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

The incident occurred in the second innings of the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) match when Tanush Kotian came to bowl the 30th over. Uttarakhand batter Saurabh Rawat tried to slog-sweep the off-spinner; the ball took a top edge and travelled to the mid-wicket region where Angkrish was stationed.
While attempting a catch at deep mid-wicket, Angkrish’s head hit the turf, and he winced in pain after failing to grab the ball. Play was stopped immediately, but there was a delay in arranging the stretcher and ambulance. During this time, Angkrish was struggling to move his head. Suggesting he’d hurt his head and neck.
After he was stretchered off the field, Angkrish was rushed to the hospital for CT (computed tomography) scans. Luckily, it was just a concussion. The doctors kept the 21-year-old under observation for a few hours before discharging him.
At this moment, it’s uncertain whether Angkrish will feature in Mumbai’s third-round match against Chhattisgarh on December 29. He might just be rested as a precaution, even if granted permission to play.
