Ace spinner for the Indian Cricket Team Varun Chakravarthy was adjudged as the Man of the Match for the IND vs ENG 3rd T20I. The spinner was given the award for his brilliant fifer despite India losing the game. Chakravarthy however didn’t blame the batters who failed to chase down a decent target set by the Three Lions.
After the match, Varun Chakravarthy claimed that this was the nature of the game and that the team was ready to move on from the defeat and think about the fourth game of the series. India currently leads the 5-match series by a 2-1 margin.
Ready for the Next Battle
“Sad we didn’t make it this match, but that’s nature of this game. Got to move on and get ready for the next match,” Varun said in the post-match presentation.
The 33-year-old spinner was at his very best in Rajkot. He gave away just 24 runs not before scalping 5 crucial wickets. He also claimed to have taken the responsibility for the team. “When you are playing for the country, you have to take responsibility. I am able to do that to an extent,” he added.

A complaint has been raised against Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav who consistently gave short spells to the ace spinner. Generally, when a bowler is on song, he is used up readily by the captain. But that was not the case for Varun. However, the spinner didn’t complain and claimed he was ready for any situation in the game.
“I don’t complain (about one over spells), because there have been times when I have bowled four overs on the trot. I am ready for everything. Working on my flipper, it’s coming out well. As I told you in the previous match, maybe I have bowled well, but I can get better going forward,” he concluded.
