Three India U19 cricket team stars, including the explosive Vaibhav Suryavanshi, have been included in the ICC U19 World Cup 2026 team of the tournament. Ayush Mhatre and co. created history on Friday by becoming the only side to lift their 6th title after beating England in the final. 3 Indians, 3 England, 2 Afghanistan, and one each from Australia, Sri Lanka and Pakistan have been named in the team of the tournament comprising of 12 players.

Vaibhav, who was named Player of the ICC Under 19 World Cup 2026, managed to score 439 runs from 7 matches at an average of 62.71, including a highest-score of 175 vs England U19 in the final. He finished as the second highest run-getter in the tournament, trailing only behind England’s Ben Mayes, who has also been named in the team of the tournament.
Other Indians on the list include spinner Kanishk Chouhan and pacer Henil Patel. While the latter finished with 11 wickets to his name in the U19 WC, the former’s all-round contributions has paved way for him to be a part of the XII.
England’s Thomas Rew (330 runs) has been named captain, while Mayes (444 runs) and Lumsden (16 wickets) have been named. Afghanistan’s highest run-getter in the tournament Shinozada (435 runs from 6 matches) and Omarzai (14 wickets from 6 matches) are the two players from the country in the XI. Apart from them, Australia captain Oliver Peake (234 runs in 6 matches) and Chamuditha (310 runs from 5 matches) have also managed to secure spots.
The selection panel was made up of Ian Bishop (Convenor), Lydia Greenway, Andy Flower and Telford Vice.
