11 years after making their international debut, the Netherlands faced off against the West Indies in 2007. Since their first game, the Netherlands have had some success in the international arena in white-ball cricket. The associate nation has not played West Indies a lot but of late, the Netherlands’ on-field success has forced some countries play bilateral cricket as well. And West Indies are the latest addition.
In ICC World Cup 2023 qualifiers, Netherlands scripted history as they eked out a win in Super Over to dash West Indies’ hopes of qualifying for the quadrennial event.
Overall, West Indies have only played 6 times in ODIs, winning five of those. Their only loss to the Netherlands came this year when they lost in Super Over. However, the two teams are yet to face off in T20Is.
