For the longest time, there was no Women’s U-19 World Cup, but that changed in 2023, when the first edition of the tournament took place in South Africa. India emerged as the winners of the Women’s u-19 World Cup, etching their name in the history books. Initially, the tournament was supposed to take place in 2021, but was postponed because of Covid-19. As many as 16 teams participated in the event. India’s Shweta Sehrawat emerged as the highest run-scorer in the tournament.
