Abhishek Sharma is the most dangerous and fearsome batter in T20I cricket. This isn’t subjective; at this point, it’s a fact. The Indian opener doesn’t attack; he demolishes bowlers. In the powerplay, he chews and spits anything thrown at him.
He’s dismantled the South African and English attack. Perhaps the only thing left was to see him perform in a multi-nation tournament and in tough batting conditions. Abhishek has aced both of these requirements. Spin or pace, whatever came his way, went over the boundary line. Having already scored a hundred, Abhishek looked set to score his 3rd T20I hundred. But luck wasn’t in his favour, as a misunderstanding with Suryakumar Yadav saw him run out. But Abhishek has proved why he sends shivers down the opposition’s spine.
