Sachin Tendulkar currently holds the record for scoring the most runs in Tests, with 15921 runs to his name. Joe Root is currently the only active cricketer in top ten highest run-getters in the longest format of the game, with 12972 runs to his name. Smith is leading the side against Sri Lanka in the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka in the absence of Pat Cummins. Australia are batting first in the contest at Galle. Travis Head, who was promoted to the top-order, started off the innings in a whirlwind fashion and scored a half-century off just 35 deliveries. He was eventually dismissed for 57, thanks to Sri Lanka’s spin hero Prabath Jayasuriya.
