South Africa cricket team has announced the squad for ICC Champions Trophy 2025, with Temba Bavuma set to lead the side. The 15-member Proteas squad features 10 players who were a part of the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. Notable inclusions include the return of Anrich Nortje and Lungisani Ngidi, both pacers who were out of action for quite some time due to injuries.

Temba Bavuma (capt), Tony de Zorzi, Marco Jansen, Heinrich Klaasen, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Wiaan Mulder, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, Kagiso Rabada, Ryan Rickelton, Tabraiz Shamsi, Tristan Stubbs, Rassie van der Dussen
Both Nortje and Ngidi missed the entire home season due to injuries. While the former was out of action due to a broken toe, the latter was ruled out due to a groin injury. The Proteas will receive a much-needed boost as the frontline pacer duo return for Champions Trophy 2025. Wiaan Mulder, Tony de Zorzi and Ryan Rickleton will be playing their first major ICC event.
So far, England, Australia, Bangladesh, Afghanistan have announced their provisional squads for CT 2025. While India has sought an extension to reveal their side, Pakistan has opted to not make their provisional squad public.
