Smriti Mandhana has confirmed that her wedding with Bollywood singer Palash Muchhal has been called off

India women’s cricket team star Smriti Mandhana has confirmed that her wedding with singer Palash Muchhal as been called off. Her confirmation comes weeks after the duo postponed their wedding despite the pre-wedding ceremonies taking place. Smriti stated that she intends to move forward and that she wants to win more trophies for India.

Smriti Mandhana’s wedding called off

Taking to social media platform Instagram, Mandhana shared a story in which she addressed the rumour going around the postponement of her wedding with Palash. She stated that the wedding was called off, adding that it was a close matter while requesting her fans to respect the privacy of both the families.

Earlier. reports stated that Smriti’s wedding had been postponed as her father was rushed to an hospital in Sangli. The duo were set to tie the knot on November 23 initially. Shortly after Mandhana’s father was hospitalized, reports also claimed that Palash was rushed to the hospital.

Mandhana had recently confirmed her engagement to Muchhal via a video on social media. Many of her teammates including Jemimah Rodrigues and Shreyanka Patil were a part of the wedding festive which had been taking place over the last couple of days.

Smriti finished as the leading run-getter for India and the second overall in the Women’s World Cup 2025, with 434 runs at an average of 54.25, scoring one century and two half-centuries. Rodrigues, who was India’s saviour in the semi-final against Australia with her spirited 127-run knock, has been named number 3 in the team of the tournament.
