The India Cricket Team has already wrapped up the IND vs ENG ODI series with a 2-0 win at Cuttack. The Men in Blue performed well in both the games as their Playing XI have worked perfectly. Now former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar claims that the team management should not make any tweaks and retain the same playing XI for the 3rd ODI at Ahmedabad.
Sanjay Bangar argued that India should not make any experiments with their Playing XI by bringing in Rishabh Pant or Arshdeep Singh. Instead, they should stick with their gameplay as they take on the Three Lions.
No Arshdeep or Yashasvi gamble for Team India
“I don’t think Yashasvi Jaiswal needs to play. If there’s merit, you can play Arshdeep Singh, you can try Rishabh Pant. But, there’s only one match left. KL Rahul has not had that many chances to play for long. Whenever he comes on to bat, there are only a few runs left. But his keeping has been good so you might just want to continue your trust in him,” Bangar said on Jio Cinema.
Bangar added that the only change that is needed is with KL Rahul. The ace batter has been pushed down to the 6th spot. Bangar believes that KL Rahul should get an adequate batting chance before the ICC Champions Trophy and thus should bat up the order.

“Arshdeep might just be played because Mohammad Shami has not had the similar sharpness with his bowling…I would want to see the same team, which has played so well so far, for another match,” he added.
Bangar further added that playing Arshdeep can be taken. Given that Mohammed Shami has just returned form his injury and not at his best form. However, Bangar believes that keeping the team combination fixed adds stability as the team would play the ICC tournament very soon.
