GT batter Sai Sudharsan can’t put a foot wrong in IPL 2025, as he brought up his fourth 50 of the tournament. This time it came against LSG, where the left-hander went to the milestone in 32 deliveries. Once again, the highlight was the innings was, he did not go big on boundaries, but then was mighty effective in rotating the strike as well.
Sai Sudharsan Punishes LSG Bowlers
Out of the 50, he ran 20 runs in the scorching heat of Lucknow, apart from hitting six fours and a six. On Saturday, not only him, but his opening partner and skipper, Shubman Gill too brought up a quickfire milestone, which meant, the duo constructed a partnership of over 100.
Earlier, at the start of the match, Sai Sudharsan had become the first batter in IPL 2025 to bring up 300 runs. Before this match, he had scored 74 vs PBKS, 63 vs MI, 49 vs RCB, 5 vs SRH, and 82 vs RR. That has once again taken him to the top spot, in the race of the Orange Cap in this year’s IPL.

Abdul Samad Hands Lifeline, Scores Heavily
After Sudharsan brought up his 50, his numbers in IPL 2025 read — M – 6, R – 307, AVG – 61.40, SR – 151.98. Pooran has 288 runs in 6 matches, followed by Mitchell Marsh at 265 runs in five matches, Interestingly, Sudharsan’s teammate Jos Buttler has also been in good form for the team and has scored 202 runs so far.
Having said that, the batter was also handed a lifeline when batting on 49, as he was dropped by Abdul Samad at extra cover, when he went for a cut against Digvesh Rathi.
