Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina came up with some bold predictions for India’s Champions Trophy semi-final against Australia. Rohit Sharma and co. will be eyeing to bury the ghosts of the 2023 World Cup final with a win against the Aussies on Tuesday. Ahead of the contest, Raina predicted Rohit and Virat Kohli to shine in the high-octane contest.

Speaking to Star Sports, Raina reckoned that India captain Rohit will score a century in the match against Australia. He claimed that Virat will win the Player of the Match award in the final. Meanwhile, Raina said that Gill would be the key to victory in India’s first knockout game against Australia in Champions Trophy.
Raina further claimed that Kuldeep Yadav will be very vital for India’s victory in the semi-final against Australia. He cited the month of March and the turning of the deliveries on the surface in Dubai to back the spinner to taste success in the clash against Australia. He added that the best fielding and catching would ensure the Men in Blue a win in the clash against Australia. Raina also advised India strongly against playing dot balls.
While he heaped praise on Virat, Rohit and Shreyas for their intent, the ex-Indian cricketer advocated for KL Rahul to step up his game and step on the accelerator.
India have won all their matches so far in the Champions Trophy 2025 leading to the semis. Meanwhile, Australia’s last group stage game against Afghanistan was washed out. India are expected to stick to the same playing XI they fielded against New Zealand. Meanwhile, Australia were forced to make one change to their squad following Matthew Short’s injury.
