Rohit Sharma has become the second India cricket team captain to win two ICC trophies. By winning the Champions Trophy 2025, the opener has done something that Sourav Ganguly, Kapil Dev, and Virat Kohli weren’t able to do. By leading the Men in Blue to win the Champions Trophy 2025, Rohit has joined MS Dhoni and become the second Team India captain to win two ICC trophies.
Rohit Sharma wins 2 ICC trophies as India captain
Similar to Dhoni, Rohit Sharma has taken Team India to 4 ICC Finals. Although he hasn’t been able to equal him in the number of trophies lifted, with Dhoni ahead. But, unlike everyone else, the opener has got two ICC trophies to his name. He’s done so in just 9 months. In June last year, he ended an 11-year drought for an ICC trophy by winning the 2024 T20 World Cup. He’s bettered that now by winning the 2025 Champions Trophy as well.
