RCB create history, become first team to achieve unique "away" feat in IPL

RCB became the first team in IPL history to win all away games in a season, having won 7 out of 7 games played outside Bengaluru

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have done it! The team has become the first-ever side to maintain a perfect away record in IPL 2025. Jitesh Sharma’s match-winning knock propelled RCB to a 6-wicket win against LSG in what was their final away and league stage match. As the hunt for their maiden trophy intensifies, RCB will next take on PBKS in Qualifier 1 on May 29.

RCB achieve 100% away record

RCB started off their campaign on a victorious note by taking down defending champions KKR at the Eden Gardens in the IPL 2025 opener. The then breached the Chepauk and Wankhede fortresses by defeating CSK and MI in the next two away games.

RR were the next victims as RCB bounced back strongly in Jaipur after suffering a loss to DC at home. PBKS, DC and LSG were the next to be defeated by RCB at their home grounds.

What happened in RCB vs LSG match?

Jitesh Sharma played his best knock of IPL with an unbeaten 33-ball 85 to chase down a record 228-run target. But the match was not short of drama. Digvesh Rathi seemed to have dismissed Jitesh Sharma, but it was overturned for a backfoot no-ball.

Then, Rathi dismissed Jitesh again with a mankading. But this time, LSG captain Rishabh Pant denied him, withdrawing the appeal. As a result, RCB made their highest successful chase with 8 balls to spare.
