Finishing as the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament with 466 runs at a remarkable strike rate of nearly 193, Dhir was acquired by Mumbai Indians for his base price of INR 20 lakh in the IPL 2024 auction. With Suryakumar Yadav sidelined due to injury, Dhir made his IPL debut against Gujarat Titans, filling in at the No.3 position for Mumbai.
