Lauren Bell

Lauren Katie Bell, born on January 2, 2001, in Swindon, Wiltshire, England, is a rising star in women’s cricket, known for her role as a right-arm fast-medium bowler and right-handed batter. She represents Berkshire in domestic cricket and has also played for teams like Southern Vipers and Southern Brave. In 2023, she further expanded her cricketing journey by joining the UP Warriorz in the Women’s Premier League and Sydney Thunder in the Women’s Big Bash League in Australia.

Before fully committing to cricket, Lauren was an accomplished footballer and played for Reading FC’s Academy until the age of 16. Known for her tall frame, she was affectionately nicknamed “The Shard” due to her height. Her sister, Colette Bell, is also involved in cricket, representing Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

Lauren’s cricketing career began in earnest at the domestic level before she made her international debut for the England women’s cricket team in June 2022.
