The India Cricket Team won the ICC Champions Trophy, and that too without having their best bowler in the ranks. Ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the tournament with a back stress injury. However, in his absence the other bowlers stepped up to give India their second straight ICC silverware. After India’s win, Jasprit Bumrah took to social media to congratulate the team on their success.
India went on to beat New Zealand in the finals in Dubai by 4 wickets to lift the ICC Champions Trophy. While Jasprit Bumrah travelled to Dubai as a guest, but that was for the India vs Pakistan clash. Back then Bumrah met with the team and shared a laugh while having a chat with his teammates.

“Played like true champions! Congratulations to the entire team on a wonderful tournament and a well deserved win!” Bumrah wrote on his social media post.
Jasprit Bumrah was the most important player for Team India in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. But on the final Test in Sydney he suffered a back stress injury. Following this, he faced a race against time to recover in time. Initially, he was named in the squad for the IND vs ENG ODI series.
But then he couldn’t recover in time for the series and thus his name was removed. There was still hope that Bumrah just might make it in time for the start of the ICC event. But that was not the case to be. He was eventually ruled out for the tournament. Now, Bumrah is gearing up for IPL 2025 as he has begun bowling in the nets.
