The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Stadium in Rajnagar, Hubballi, will host the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy final.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) appoints one of the finalists as the host. Since Karnataka finished the group stage with more points than Jammu & Kashmir, they’ll host the final.
Jammu & Kashmir have already qualified after beating Bengal, but Karnataka haven’t officially won yet. Currently, the first semifinal is underway with Uttarakhand, but considering they gained a 513-run lead in the first innings and the game is heading towards a draw, the final is set.
Ranji Trophy final in Karnataka
That means KSCA will host the Ranji Trophy final. Since the M Chinnaswamy Stadium has not yet received safety clearance, the venue can’t be used. Karnataka has several venues to choose from, with Alur being one of the most prominent ones.
But newly appointed KSCA president Venkatesh Prasad has decided to choose a remote venue in Rajnagar, Hubballi. The stadium hasn’t been used lately, and Venkatesh wants to spread cricket across various corners in Karnataka.
“Karnataka vs Jammu and Kashmir, the five days final from February 24, is to be played in KSCA Stadium, Rajnagar, Hubballi,” a KSCA official told PTI.
