The Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) has been in the headlines ever since the two legends, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, decided to make a comeback in December 2025. That, coupled with the BCCI’s mandate for every eligible player to be available for Indian domestic tournaments, has put oxygen in the local Indian cricket circuit. After Jharkhand won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) on the back of a superlative team effort by Ishan Kishan’s side, VHT 2025/26 began.
This season has been star-studded, with the likes of Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, Sanju Samson, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Abhishek Sharma all making their presence felt. Also, this tournament has been heavily batting-friendly, with players scoring hundreds left, right and center. On that note, we take a look at the top five players with the most centuries in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) history.

Devdutt Padikkal’s crazy VHT numbers
The player with the most Vijay Hazare Trophy hundreds is Maharashtra’s Ankit Bawne. The domestic veteran, who played an IPL match for Delhi Capitals back in 2017, has 15 VHT hundreds. However, he has played 99 games (as of Jan 3) as well and will soon become only the third player after Manish Pandey (103) and Mandeep Singh (101) to feature across 100 VHT games.
That is one of the main reasons why Bawne is on top of the list with 15 Vijay Hazare Trophy centuries to his name. He has a great record nonetheless with 4164 runs, the highest in the history of the tournament too. However, with his century agianst Goa on January 8, Gaikwad has joined Bawne on the list and is now the player with the joint-most VHT centuries at 15.
However, Devdutt Padikkal has soared up to the third spot after his latest ton against Tripura. The Karnataka southpaw had eight centuries prior to this season. But in just a matter of five games, Padikkal has jumped to third. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025/26, Padikkal has numbers that are beyond the word ‘Bradmanesque‘! In 8 games, he has 721 runs at 103.00, a tally that includes four centuries. As a matter of fact, in his last 15 VHT innings, Padikkal has mustered seven centuries.
Padikkal’s captain at Karnataka, Mayank Agarwal, has joined Padikkal on the list with 13 centuries, while former India player Robin Uthappa ended his career with 11 hundreds while representing three different associations.
