The excitement over India’s Champions Trophy 2025 victory shows no signs of fading as the players return home to a hero’s welcome. Unlike the T20 World Cup 2024, the BCCI has decided against organizing an open bus parade to celebrate the win, instead asking players to head home individually and focus on preparations for IPL 2025, which begins on March 22.

While there were no official celebrations, the families and hometowns of the players ensured that their stars received a grand reception. Cricket icons such as Gautam Gambhir, KL Rahul, and Rohit Sharma were mobbed by fans and greeted with overwhelming warmth. However, not everyone experienced the same. A video circulating online shows star bowler Harshit Rana visibly upset with a reporter who attempted to interview him as he was heading to his car. Rana can be heard asking the reporter to refrain from conducting the interview before walking away, looking visibly dejected.

The incident sparked mixed reactions among fans. Some expressed disappointment with Rana’s response, while others sympathized with the KKR pacer, pointing out the lack of celebration or support upon his arrival at the airport, creating a subdued and somber atmosphere.

Speaking about Harshit Rana’s next match, the Indian pacer will be seen in the action in the upcoming Indian Premier League. Playing for the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders, the pacer will be looking to emulate his performances from the past edition.
