This means that there is the least possible chance of rain playing spoilsport in the RCB vs SRH game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. Bengaluru’s weather is generally unpredictable, but there is very low chances of rain disrupting the IPL 2026 opener. Fans will be treated to a full-fledged and action-packed T20 contest.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will begin their title defence, leaning heavily on their batting prowess. Virat Kohli’s experience will be crucial even though he hasn’t played any T20 cricket since the last IPL. Phil Salt’s power-hitting, Rajat Patidar’s strokeful play and Tim David’s explosive batting will also be key. However, with no Josh Hazlewood and Yash Dayal, RCB’s bowling will be on the weaker side. 

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar will lead the pace attack with Jacob Duffy and Rasikh Salam Dar alongside him. Romario Shepherd’s all-round capabilities will be crucial as well. In the spin department, Krunal Pandya will be omnipresent along with Suyash Sharma.
