The Netherlands were slow off the blocks as they could only manage 36/1 in the powerplay. While they recovered to 118/5 in 15 overs to match India’s position, Netherlands could not deliver the final blow. They managed 176/7 in 20 overs.
Earlier, India opted to bat in Ahmedabad after winning the toss. Team India rested Axar Patel ahead of the Super 8 stage, while Arshdeep Singh came back in. Team India will conclude their Group A formalities with a match against the Netherlands.
