Ever since Quinton de Kock has reversed his retirement from international cricket, he has been quite sensational, to be honest. The other day, in the 3rd ODI in Vizag vs India, he smashed around the opposition bowlers to notch his 7th ton vs the country. He had scored a 100 and 50 against Pakistan too, in November.
Quinton de Kock registers for IPL 2026 auction
So, that in short means, he could be in with a chance of making big bucks at the IPL 2026 auction, that is due to take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16. For the unversed, Quinton de Kock has come in with a late registration into the IPL auction 2026, at a base price of 1 cr.
Could KKR be interested?
As per the IPL rumour mill, this late entry into the IPL auction has come at the behest of a former franchise, that he has played for. That could either be MI, DC, SRH, RCB, KKR or even LSG. Yes, in his IPL career that started in 2013, he has played for all these teams, with his most recent stint coming with Kolkata, where he was rather ineffective in scoring 152 runs at an average of 21.
By the looks of it, it looks like, KKR could be interested in de Kock once again, since they haven’t retained any frontline keeper in their list so far. But once again, all this is part of the IPL 2026 auction rumour only. As far as his overall record in the IPL is concerned, he has played 115 matches, and scored 3309 runs at an average of 30, where two tons and 24 fifties have come his way.
