Jasprit Bumrah will next be in action in IPL 2025 after he was ruled out of ICC Champions Trophy. The veteran pacer suffered a back injury towards the end of Border-Gavaskar Trophy and was doubtful for the marquee event. On Tuesday, the BCCI confirmed that he will miss the tournament. This means Bumrah will now directly play in IPL 2025, a good news for Mumbai Indians.
Bumrah says bye bye to Champions Trophy, eyes IPL 2025 return
A report stated that while Bumrah’s scans seemed okay, the selectors didn’t wanted to take a risk by making him play in Champions Trophy. While it is still unclear as to when he can start bowling, it is most likely that he will be fit in time for IPL 2025. The next edition of the cash-rich league will commence from March 21 onwards, giving ample time for Bumrah to bounce back.
