India Test squad for West Indies: As per various reports, Shreyas Iyer is out of contention for the series after requesting the BCCI for a break. And a new all-rounder is under consideration — Manav Suthar, who is likely to be picked. Other than that there aren’t any changes expected, except for the ones forced due to injuries.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will announce India’s squad for the upcoming 2-match Test series against the West Indies on September 24. It’s expected that 15 players will be named, unlike the last home series India played against New Zealand, where a 17-man squad was announced.
Rishabh Pant is all but confirmed to miss out due to his foot injury. Jasprit Bumrah might be rested as well, since he’s currently playing the Asia Cup 2025. Other names who might miss out could be Shreyas Iyer, Karun Nair, Sarfaraz Khan, and Prasidh Krishna.
