There are a million questions before the IND vs PAK T20 World Cup match on Feb 15.. and one of those is, will the players from the two sides shake hands? The tradition was given a miss by the two teams during last year’s Asia Cup, where in three encounters, India beat Pakistan.

But if reports are to be believed, or maybe social media chatter, the handshakes will happen. On the eve of the match in Colombo, PAK skipper Salman Ali Agha was asked the same question. He did respond, but of course, it is not as as easy, as it sounds.
“I expect game should be played in the spirit it has always been played since its inception,” he said. As for the handshake, he said, “We’ll find out tomorrow.” Meanwhile, there have been unconfirmed reports suggesting that the ICC chairman Jay Shah, and PCB head Mohsin Naqvi could be attending the match.
On the other hand, the Sri Lankan authorities have sent out a rain alert for Feb 15 in Colombo, that could disrupt the match. In fact, there are fears that the encounter could be washed out as well. If that happens, both teams will share a point each.
