India cricket team will kick start their Asia Cup 2025 campaign by taking on hosts UAE in their tournament opener on September 10. UAE’s 17 member squad for the tournament also comprises of six Indian origin players who will feature in the clash against Suryakumar Yadav and co. The tie is a golden opportunity for the UAE stars to play against the defending T20I World Cup champions.
Indian origin players who’ll be part of IND vs UAE
The six Indian origin players in UAE’s squad include Harshit Kaushik, Simranjeet Singh, Dhruv Parashar, Alishan Sharafu, Aryansh Sharma, Rahul Chopra. Kaushik made his T20I debut on September 1, 2025 and has played only three games for UAE so far. Spinner Simranjeet is a slightly experienced player, with 15 wickets to his name from 12 T20Is.
All-rounder Parshar has 128 runs and 25 wickets from 23 matches in the shortest format while Kerala-born Alishan is most experienced of the lot – 1249 runs from 53 T20Is. Aryanash, who was born in Ghaziabad, made his T20I debut for UAE in July 26, 2025 and has amassed 365 runs from 15 games thus far. Wicketkeeper Rahul Chopra has 600 runs from 29 T20Is.
